Description

Please bring packed lunch and drinks, plus money for fare or bus pass for return journey by 461 bus. Transport to the start point will be by minibus (covered in price of walk)

The Radnorshire Carneddau are tranquil, rolling hills located northeast of Builth Wells. The starting point is located adjacent to Llanelwedd Quarries, with a steep climb up onto the ridge.
The heather clad upland features ancient round cairns and iron age fortifications with panoramic views of the surrounding Wye Valley, the Radnorshire Hills and Radnorshire Forest.
The route follows the ridge including several rocky escarpments and finishes at Llandegley rocks, where we descend into the village for the bus journey back to Kington.
