Description
Please bring a drink and light snack. Price of walk includes a light lunch at Kington Golf Club
Starting by Mill Street carpark, we walk northwest to cross the by-pass near Floodgates, where we join a path that takes us through open pasture and woodland. As we slowly climb our views change. We pass above Dunfield House and on towards Herrock and near Holywell we ascend steeply onto the saddle between Herrock Hill and Rushock Hill. Here we join the Offa's Dyke path turning east and the high point of our walk at 375m. From here and along the ridge there are wonderful views both to the north and south. Turning south we continue along Offa's Dyke until we reach the golf course, where we circuit anticlockwise around the top of Bradnor Hill, which again affords 360 ͦ stunning views, before walking down to the Club House for a light lunch. After our refreshment we continue to follow Offa's Dyke back into Kington.
This walk is sponsored by Kington Golf Club
